Galway's Vintage Car Club (WVVMC) was founded in 1977 and has grown to be one of the largest clubs in Ireland. The Club's main sponsor for the past three years has been The Carparts Warehouse, who have been associated with the Summer Run from 2005 to 2008. WestRun 2009 was sponsored by Corrib Oil.

The WVVMC is now in it's 33rd year of existance, has just over 200 enthusiastic members and organises at least 8 runs per year. The main event every year is the Summer Run, better known as the WestRun which always takes place towards the end of July, after the Galway Arts Festival and just before the Galway Races. The club's AGM takes place on the first Monday in November each year.

The WVVMC publishes a quarterly newsletter. This magazine contains articles about technical information, meetings, events, advertisements, cars for sale, parts for sale and more.
