Galway's Vintage Car Club (WVVMC) was founded in 1977 and has grown to be one of the largest clubs in Ireland. The WVVMC is now in it's 34th year of existance, has almost 200 enthusiastic members and organises at least 10 events per year. The main event every year is the Summer Run, better known as the WestRun which always takes place towards the end of July, after the Galway Arts Festival and just before the Galway Races. The club's AGM takes place on the first Monday in November each year.

The WVVMC publishes a quarterly newsletter. This magazine contains articles about technical information, meetings, events, advertisements, cars for sale, parts for sale and more. Members are encouraged to write stories about their car restoration projects, events and trips, which can be sent to the Communications Director, Frank Mullan, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you wish to become a member (it is not mandatory to own a veteran, classic or sportscar to join the club), just visit the membership page.
