Overview!
Galway's Vintage Car Club (WVVMC) was founded in 1977 and has grown to be one of the largest clubs in Ireland. The Club's main sponsor is The Carparts Warehouse, who have been associated with the Summer Run since 2005.
The WVVMC is now in it's 31st year of existance, has just over 200 enthusiastic members and organises at least 8 runs per year. The main event every year is the Summer Run, better known as the WestRun which always takes place towards the end of July, after the Galway Arts Festival and just before the Galway Races. The club's AGM takes place on the first Monday in November each year.
The WVVMC publishes a quarterly newsletter. This magazine contains articles about technical information, meetings, events, advertisements, cars for sale, parts for sale and more. Members are encouraged to write stories about their car restoration projects, events and trips, which can be sent to the editor, Ian Doherty, at wvvmc.newsletter@gmail.com , or odonoghu@iol.ie , the club's Communications Director.
If you wish to become a member (it is not mandatory to own a veteran, classic or sportscar to join the club), just visit the membership page.
